Our Aim

Beside You Foundation was incorporated to provide the information, support and tools for those most in need. Our core focus is supporting Indigenous and non-Indigenous families and individuals in the Perth community, preparing them for the challenges they may face, including interactions with Department of Communities (child protection), court proceedings, accessing Government assistance and maintaining strong family connections.

As a Perth based not-for-profit agency, we are mindful and sensitive to the culture of Indigenous families during difficult times, seeking to empower parents to keep children in their care through advocacy, engagement and support tailored to each individual client.

We provide support to families by fostering a unique journey with compassion, empathy, integrity and respect, and really do walk beside our clients, providing a clear pathway forward by providing next steps and solutions while also making the client’s accountable for their decisions and actions.

Our services are specifically designed to each of our client’s unique needs, as we empower and champion them in taking responsibility for the best outcomes while being culturally appropriate and highly respectful in acknowledging Australia’s diverse Indigenous cultures.

KRISTY HAS DEDICATED HERSELF TO HELPING THOSE IN NEED AND HAS GONE BEYOND HELPING THEM MEET MORE THAN THEIR GOAL. A CARING, LOVING PERSON, SHE’LL NEVER JUDGE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS ENCOURAGE YOU TO JUST BE YOU. I HONESTLY WOULDN’T HAVE ACHIEVED SOME OF MY PROUDEST MOMENTS WITHOUT HER SUPPORT.”
